Ezines

The ability to send ezines (email newsletters) and the ability to generate pre-formatted content for these newsletters.

Instructions
  1. First set up your ezine as a piece of content under IDmedia.
  2. Once you have your ezine completed, go through to the IDsocial tab.
  3. Click on Send Newsletter.
  4. Enter in your name, email address and subject.
  5. In the [Unsubscribe Link Text] enter in what you want to show on the newsletter to give people the option to unsubscribe from your mail-outs.  For example 'Click here to unsubscribe'.
  6. Under the [Groups] heading, choose which groups you want to send the newsletter to and then click on [Select Content].  If you have no groups, you can manually enter in email addresses under the [Additional Email Addresses].
  7. The folders from the IDmedia tab will show on the lower left side of the screen.  Navigate to the folder you have saved the newsletter in, and then click on the piece of content and click on [Select].
  8. Click on [Send Newsletter].


We recommend that you send a test email first so that you can check the newsletter before you send it out to everyone.  To do this, under [Groups] select -NONE- and then under [Additional Email Addresses] type in your own email address.  Select the content and then send.

Please note that all ezines must be 'Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007' compliant.  This includes sending the ezine only to people who have signed up for it and having a link on the ezine for them to unsubscribe.  To view the Act, click here.
